The EEC discussed the preparation of an Agreement on Information Exchange with representatives of the PRC

On October 20, 2016 a meeting of delegations of the Customs Bloc of the Eurasian Economic Commission, headed by the Director of the Customs Infrastructure Department Baktybek Baiserkeev with representatives of the Embassy of China in the Russian Federation, headed by Advisor Zhou Wenyi was organized in Moscow.
Zhou Wenyi congratulated Baktybek Baiserkeev on assuming his position, noted the constructive dialogue established between the Customs bloc, in particular, the Customs Infrastructure Department and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and expressed his hope for continued interaction.

Industrial Policy Department of the EEC is developing cooperation with the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers

The representatives of the Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission discussed prospects for the development of the automobile industry in the Eurasian Economic Union with the participants of the round table "The global automobile industry: the situation and trends in Russia/CIS region and worldwide", which took place within the framework of the previous session of the General Assembly of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) on October 20, 2016.
The event was attended by over 100 delegates of national associations of manufacturers from 27 countries around the world, experts from research centres and international experts as well as representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Kobyakov met the Chairman of the Board of the EEC Tigran Sargsyan in the run-up to the Intergovernmental Council Session

On October 20, 2016 in the run-up to the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, a meeting was held between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Kobyakov and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan in Minsk.
Andrey Kobyakov highlighted Belarus's commitment to the position that dictates that the Eurasian Economic Union must build relations without exemptions and restrictions that impede mutual trade between the countries.

Director of the Agroindustrial Policy Stanislav Buben met the Minister of Agriculture of the Argentine Republic Ricardo Buryaile

On October 19, 2016 the Eurasian Economic Commission held a meeting where the Director of the Agroindustrial Policy Department of the EEC, Stanislav Buben, discussed the status and prospects for cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Argentina in the Agroindustrial sector with the Minister of Agriculture of the Argentine Republic, Ricardo Buryaile.

The Argentine delegation stated that it supported the cooperation between the EEC and MERCOSUR

On October 19, 2016 a meeting with the Argentine delegation headed by Minister of Agriculture of the Argentine Republic Ricardo Buryaile was held at the Eurasian Economic Commission, where the Director of the Integration Development Department of the EEC Sergey Shukhno spoke about the development of cooperation with the countries and integration associations in Latin America (Chile, Peru, the Andean Community, and the Pacific Alliance) and confirmed the Commission’s interest in establishing contacts with MERCOSUR.

The EEC Minister Karine Minasyan urged the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to create digital platforms to ensure cybersecurity

On October 14, 2016 the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Domestic Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies Karine Minasyan raised an issue on the platforms that the EAEU companies will use to work, sell their products, and go to foreign markets.
According to estimates by leading researchers in the field of ICT, by 2020 25% of the global GDP will be created in the digital economy. "When we see these figures, we understand that we have not created this agenda on transition to the digital economy in the EAEU yet. And what does shaping the digital economy mean? It means transition of real objects into digital images and their interaction in the digital space," said the EEC speaker during the discussion at the plenary session of the First International Forum of the Eurasian Partnership (IFEP).

The EEC Minister Tatiana Valovaya: "For the first seven months of this year, exports of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union states has increased by 70%”

On October 14, 2016 at the plenary session of the first international forum of the Eurasian partnership in Yerevan, the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC Tatiana Valovaya said that "for the seven months of this year, exports from Armenia to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union have increased by 70%."
