Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam will enter into force on October 5, 2016, announced Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC, Veronika Nikishina.
According to Veronika Nikishina, “From October 5 a large portion of the goods that our countries trade will have reduced customs duty rates.”

Called the Massive Open Online Course, the online tool targets individuals who are practitioners and those involved in policy-making across the Asia-Pacific region.

Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN Opening Remarks at the ASEAN Strategic Policy Dialogue on Disaster Management (SPDDM), which was held on 19 August in Singapore, “The private sector, as one of the key stakeholders, plays a vital role in realising the vision of a disaster-resilient ASEAN Community. As disasters have a direct impact on businesses and their customers, it is important that the private sector becomes more involved in disaster management, especially through their business continuity plans as well as innovation to respond to disasters and reduce disaster losses”.
Officials and industry representatives meeting this week in Lima detailed actions for expanding individual and small business use of electronic commerce.
According to Edgar Vasquez, Peru’s Vice Minister of Foreign Trade, “Electronic commerce is serving as an instrument to promote inclusion, generating new jobs and facilitating access to financial services in remote areas.”
The award was handed to cutting-edge food safety researcher Dr Hua Kuang of China who developed low-cost biosensors that detect food sanitation hazards in partnership with experts in other APEC economies. Her patented technologies have been widely marketed and used to improve food safety for hundreds of millions of people in China and beyond.
According to the recommendations of the APEC Business Advisory Council meeting held in Shenzhen on August 1-4, 2016, steps to enhance access to the internet and use of electronic commerce within the sector open up new market opportunities for small businesses.
The recommendations will be considered by APEC Senior Officials and technical working groups when they convene in Lima, Peru, later this month to engineer measures for optimizing growth and living standards in the region.
August 12 marks the first anniversary of the Kyrgyz Republic's accession to the EAEU Treaty. Over this period the country has increased its industrial output and agricultural production, access of Kyrgyz products to the markets of other Member States became easier. It has become easier and more comfortable for migrants from Kyrgyzstan to temporarily reside and work in the Member States.
