National Coordination Centre for International Business Cooperation established in Russia

On 16 October 2023 in Moscow, Russia's leading business associations and corporations decided to establish the National Coordination Centre for International Business Cooperation (NCC IBC) to provide practical assistance to the Russian government and businesses in entering new markets in friendly countries.

The IBC NCC was established by transforming the Non-Profit Partnership "National Coordination Centre for the Development of Economic Relations with Asia-Pacific Countries", formed in 2012 by a decision of the Russian Government. The founders of NCC MDS were the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Business Russia, Opora Rossii, the Russian Export Centre, Russian Railways, Renova and AEON corporations, the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a number of small and medium-sized businesses.

The IBC NCC will develop effective strategies for Russian authorities and corporations to work with partners from East, South, Central Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America, as well as expert analytical and practical assistance to Russian companies in entering new markets in friendly countries.

The Board of the organisation includes, among others, Oleg Belozerov, Director General of Russian Railways, Viktor Vekselberg, Head of Renova Group, Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the Russian Export Centre, and Roman Trotsenko, Head of AEON Corporation. The Council was headed by Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

Kirill Babaev, Director of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was elected President of the NCC MDS.
