Belarus and Kyrgyzstan remove barriers in the field of taxation

Belarus and Kyrgyzstan remove barriers regarding VAT on certain types of agriculture and fish farming commodities. Change of taxation will occur within the framework of the activity to remove obstacles for the free movement of goods and services on domestic markets of the Eurasian Economic Unity (EAEU) and prevent their occurrence.

Belarus announced the intention to cancel the VAT rate in the amount of 10% on the sale of products of crop farming, beekeeping, cattle farming and aquaculture, produced on the territory of the Republic. The cancellation is envisaged from July 1, 2017

with a legal act, which is being developed in Minsk.

Thus, the taxation conditions in Belarus in this sphere will be equal for all residents of the Member States.
From April 1, 2017, Kyrgyzstan plans to repeal the VAT exemption on imported flour. The relevant draft law is introduced to the Parliament at the moment. VAT exemption was not in full compliance with the law of the Union.
According to the Treaty on the EAEU, mutual trade implies taxes, other taxes and payments so that taxation for the goods from the EAEU States on their territory is not less favorable than for similar domestic products.
