The procedure for crossing the border between the EAEU and Iran can be simplified
At a bilateral meeting in Geneva, the EEC Board member - Minister in charge of energy and infrastructure Adamkul Zhunusov and the Minister of roads and urban development of Iran Abbas Ahundi discussed plans for cooperation in the fields of transport and infrastructure. They discussed simplification of procedures for the crossing of the border between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Iran, providing favorable conditions for transit and development of transport corridors.
Abbas Ahundi reported on the work carried out by the Republic for the development of transport infrastructure in Western Asia, which will facilitate transportation and regional transit with and ensure access to ports in the Persian Gulf. According to Adamkul Zhunusov, interaction of the Union and Iran in the fields of transport and infrastructure is an additional stimulus for the development of trade and economic relations between the countries and contributes to the economic growth of the Eurasian region in the framework of the ongoing work on the formation of the free trade zone. At the end of the meeting, the Ministers agreed to continue the dialogue.
