The EEC is initiating the development of innovative industrial directions within the EAEU

The EEC Board approved the list of priority directions of cooperation of the EAEU Member States in order to accelerate technological modernization and innovation activity of organizations of the Member States.
The document prepared by the EEC Industrial Policy Department is aimed at developing cooperation in 19 scientific, technological, and innovative areas. These include such priority areas as biotechnology, development of new medicines and treatments for cancer, including using stem cells, development of electric transportation, development of absolutely innovative devices and machines based on high class multiloop lever mechanisms. The Commission also proposes that the EAEU countries switch from microelectronics to nanoelectronics and optoelectronics, quantum computers, development of materials, technologies and special technological equipment for manufacture of products for nanoelectronics, nanosystem and microsystem technologies, and solid-state electronics.


As part of this initiative, the EEC proposes the creation of new forms of interaction in order to attract investment, technical, consultative and other kinds of support by partner organizations from the other Union States.
Earlier, the Industrial Policy Department of the EEC analyzed the functioning of objects of scientific, technological and innovative infrastructure of the Union States. These studies, as well as experience and study of the recent trends and trends in scientific and technological development, scientific research, actual innovation projects, including startups carried out in the EAEU Member States, formed the basis of this document.
