The EEC and the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs discussed opportunities for cooperation with China in science and technology
Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Sergey Sidorskiy met the President of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) Victor Glukhikh on November 1, 2016.
Mr. Sidorskiy and Mr. Glukhikh discussed the issues of the use of the potential of scientific and technical tools available in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): the Eurasian Center of High Technologies (ECHT) and 11 Eurasian Technology Platforms (ETPs) created in October 2016.
The participants of the meeting discussed the readiness of participation of the ECHT in the Eurasian Technology Platforms and collaboration in areas such as: creating registries of advanced technologies and products, holding industry events, search of partners for implementation of cooperative projects and conducting their joint examination.
Representatives of ICIE suggested that the Commission consider the possibility of joint realization of the project of the ECHT and the ETPs “Environmental Development Technologies" for promotion on foreign markets of waste disposal units based on trans-sound thermochemical decomposition technology. It is expected that the ECHT will become a flagship in implementing such joint projects and in their further developing.
In terms of cooperation on export promotion of goods, participation of enterprises in the Union on a regular basis in the Canton Fair in China (Guangzhou) was discussed. Industrial block of the Commission expressed its willingness to visit the exhibition in the spring of 2017.
Interaction with ICIE is carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the ICIE and the EEC, which was signed in Yerevan on March 29, 2016.
