The EEC held expert consultations with the Government of Mongolia

Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC, Tatyana Valovaya met State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Davaasuren Damdinsuren in Moscow at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission on November 1-2, 2016. They agreed to hold a business forum involving representatives of Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia.


The agreement was reached during the expert consultation involving representatives of the Commission, the Government of Mongolia and the business community of the countries of the Union.
After signing a Memorandum on Trade and Economic Cooperation in 2015, the parties established a working group and initiated dialogue on a number of directions. Negotiations were held in the sphere of the agroindustrial complex in order to ensure food security in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Mongolia. Competition policy was also discussed in order to develop fair competition and the production of quality goods. The negotiations also covered trade policy, technical regulation, and sanitary, veterinary-sanitary and quarantine and phytosanitary measures.
It is planned that a business forum will be held in Ulan Bator during the second half of 2017.
