The EEC working group has commenced work on development of a new edition of the overall compliance assessment framework
The first session of the working group for the development of the overall compliance assessment framework was held in Yerevan on the premises of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, chaired by Valery Koreshkov, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of the Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission on September 8-9, 2016. At the meeting the main directions for the development of a new edition of the aforementioned overall frameworks were determined and agreed.
The session was attended by representatives of the authorised public authorities, the business community compliance assessment bodies, and experts of the EAEU countries.
Valery Koreshkov stressed that “the agreed approaches to the fulfillment of the product compliance assessment is the most important component in implementing the technical regulations of the Union, and in providing for the manufacturing of safe products for the common market of the union.”
The participants of the session considered the major issues and the practical aspects of assessing a product’s compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the EAEU. The main points that were discussed included defining the area of application of the overall assessment framework, the development of agreed approaches to the assessment of management systems, and manufactures conducting quality control on their end products.
The next working group session is scheduled for October this year.
