The EEC Minister Tatyana Valovaya discussed cooperation of the EAEU and the EU with the German Bundestag Deputy Gernot Erler

Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tatyana Valovaya, on the initiative of the German party, met with the Special Representative of the Federal Government of Germany for the OSCE Chairmanship, the Deputy of German Bundestag, the Coordinator of Intersocietal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the countries of the Eastern partnership, Gernot Erler on June 23, 2016.


Tatyana Valovaya and Gernot Erler discussed the outcome of the first 18 months of operation of the Eurasian Economic Union (the EAEU) and plans for integration development within the Eurasian integration project. Tatyana Valovaya informed the German party in details of the EEC cooperation with governments of third-countries and regional integration associations, drawing attention to the need for closer contact of the Eurasian Economic Union with the European Union. In his turn, Gernot Erler spoke of the efforts undertaken within the framework of the German Presidency in the OSCE to revive discussions about cooperation of the EAEU and the EU, and welcomed the need for professional discussion on this matter at various European venues.
