EEC Minister Tatyana Valovaya and Ambassador of Mongolia to Russia Banzragchiyn Delgermaa discussed prospective cooperation between the EEC and the Government of Mongolia in the framework of the implementation of a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) hosted a meeting between Member of the Board -Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tatyana Valovaya and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation Banzragchiyn Delgermaa on July 1, 2016.
The parties discussed the prospective cooperation between the EEC and the Government of Mongolia in the framework of the implementation of a Memorandum of Cooperation. This includes the possible agenda of the second session of the Working Group on Interaction between the EEC and the Government of Mongolia. Note that the first session of the Working Group was held in November last year in Ulan Bator.


During the meeting, the importance of developing direct interaction between the business communities in Mongolia and countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was noted, with particular emphasis on this taking place on the platform of the Business Council of the EAEU. Tatyana Valovaya spoke out in support of the participation of representatives of business and public authorities of the countries of the EAEU and Mongolia in the next session of the working group.
The Ambassador, in turn, supported this proposal. She also confirmed Mongolia’s interest in intensifying trade and economic cooperation with the member states of the EAEU, increasing the level of exports of traditional Mongolian goods to the countries of the Union. These include fur and fur products, meat and meat products.
