The EEC Minister Veronika Nikishina called on businesses community to intensify cooperation with EEC
Member of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board (Minister) for Trade Veronika Nikishina held a meeting with members of the Manager Association on July 21, 2016. The meeting was devoted to the development of foreign trade agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the role of the business community in the process.
In her speech, Ms. Nikishina said that "to draw up an effective free trade agreement, it would be necessary to involve businessmen interested in the export of goods and services instead of bureaucrats. We have been repeatedly told that 'We do not need anything, just do not decrease the duties.' We call on representatives of large and mid-sized businesses to provide the Eurasian Economic Commission with a list of countries with which they would like to cooperate. We would also like to learn what impediments they encounter in the markets of these countries and what projects they would like to implement there. We urge businessmen to be proactive and cooperate with the EEC to achieve high efficiency of free trade agreements."
