National Coordination Center for Developing Economic Cooperation with the Countries of Asia-Pacific Region (NCC APR) meeting on the topic “Opportunities and Challenges of Expanding Cooperation with Asia-Pacific Countries” will be held on March 18, 20

Russia is interested in boosting economic cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries and participating in regional integration processes. Russia is a perspective market for businesses from Asia-Pacific countries, at the same time Russia is keen to attract investment into its regions, first of all to the Far East. Many Asia-Pacific companies work in Russia and others explore the opportunities to enter this perspective market.

The meeting discussion will focus on opportunities and challenges of Russia`s cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries, practical measures to boost economic relationships between Russia and countries of the region, including diversification of Russia`s foreign economic ties by countries and sectors. The participants will discuss potential incentives and opportunities for attracting foreign investors (in particular through improving tax, migration and other forms of regulation) and foreign investment` contribution to development of territories, economy and society.
Drawing on the outcomes of deliberation an outline for the NCC priority areas of work for 2015-2016 will be adopted.

The meeting will bring together members of National Coordination Center, representatives of leading Russian companies and Asia-Pacific companies working in Russia, governmental authorities and experts.
